Except for humans and Orks, Star Elves and Asguardian Dwarfs are the most numerous sentient races within the known universe.
Star Elves are pink-skinned, skinny, pointy-eared humanoids who originally hailed from Alfheim, a moon of a gas giant planet now deep within Ork Space.
Asguardian Dwarfs are dark-grey-skinned humanoids shorter than but stronger and heavier than humans. male Dwarfs routinely wear beards. The Dwarfs' home planet Asguardia became part of the Imperial Republic in Year 26,755.
Both races can live to be over 500 years old, much longer than the human lifespan of 80 to 100 years.
Both Elves and Dwarfs have engaged in space travel, including the use of the jumpgates, as far back as 30,000 to 35,000 years before Year 1. It is believed that Star Elves and Asguardin Dwarfs dominated interstellar space and the known universe until the rise of the Orks around 500 years before Year 1.
Elf and Dwarf religion is largely based upon the worship of a Father God and a Mother Goddess, assumed to be heavily influenced by Ork worship of Mork and Gork. Some Asguardian Dwarf families also worship their own ancestors.
